How long do you wait after applying the stencil before you start tattooing? Mine starts fading a few minutes after I put the cream on.

15–20 min minimum, and don't touch anything in that window. If you apply cream before it dries, it drags the stencil. Use the time to prep caps and needles, and when you come back it's locked in.
